Away from the glorious beaches there is sufficient to do including excursions into the intriguing volcanic interior and having a ferry ride to nearby Lanzarote. For bird watchers there are a few great nature walks which will get you through a number of habitats which are home to native and migratory birds including hawks, vultures and kestrels. Mild winters and hot summers make Fuerteventura a great throughout every season destination.
