Once you go as much as her group, act as if you won’t notice her. Keep in touch with her friends, make some small talk and have generally a good time with them. Do never pay attention to your ex of one’s dreams! She might be used to have all the attention, so she will try to have yours. The more you ignore her, the more she will beg for your attention.
When she get’s into her “oh look at me” mode, make some cocky remarks to her friends. Look for example if she is always that annoying and so on. You have to hurt her ego a bit. The more you refuse to pay attention to her the more she will do to have it.
Then, after a while you act as if you give in. Tell her an appealing story, show her some pictures, show her a secret trick or whatever (magic works wonders!). Pull her to the side, after asking their friends – who should certainly as you by now – if it’s OK that you talk to her in private for a second. There you have it, private conversation with the hot girl you wish to date! Just be sure you don’t blow it by saying something stupid then.
